So in preparation for the construction of an electric motorcycle to race in the TTXGP the electric vehicle team put together a project to design, test, and implement a traction control system. The system will be mounted on a 2005 Kawasaki Ninja ZX- 6R, and able to be tested in a stationary and controlled manner mounted on a rolling road. The traction control system involves wheel speed sensors, an accelerometer, an mbed microcontroller, a MOSFET, and the test bench setup among other electrical components for isolation and safety.
