Abstract:In the present paper the progress was reviewed in the active fiIIer metaIs with different
temperatures for ceramic to metaI brazing and reIated brazing technigue of reducing joining - gap
residuaI stress . It was recommended that the key deveIoping fieId for our country shouId be the high
temperature active fiIIer with heat - and oxidation - resisting properties . The brazing technigues to
reduce joining - gap residuaI stress and the principIes to seIect transition Iayers for the joining gap were
aIso introduced .
