磁光效应论文:稀磁半导体中磁光效应的应用研究
【中文摘要】近几十年来,随着以磁性存储技术为代表的自旋电子学在新兴高科技领域获得日益广泛的应用,以磁光效应为原理的各种磁光器件和磁光测量技术也在科研的基础和应用研究中显示了其独特的优势和广阔的应用前景,从而引起人们浓厚的兴趣。根据入射光的偏振状态不同,磁光效应可以简单的归类为:基于线偏振光的磁光克尔效应(MOKE),和基于圆偏振光的磁圆二向色性(MCD)。其中MOKE对于样品的表面净磁矩敏感,通常作为一种重要的表面磁性测量手段;MCD主要反映样品对于左旋和右旋光的吸收差别,即圆二向色性。对于低能量(1—5eV)的MCD能够反映费米面附件的特征吸收边的磁圆二色性,也是研究稀磁半导体的一个重要实验方法之一。本论文主要介绍了磁圆二向色性(MCD)谱仪和磁光克尔效应(MOKE)这两种测量方法的基本工作原理和自主搭建情况,并且研究了在稀磁半导体(DMS)中的磁光效应。其中本人的贡献主要是MCD谱仪的搭建、软件编制、调试,以及MCD和MOKE的测量工作。本论文主要分为以下五章:第一章,一般性的背景介绍,包括磁光效应的分类,原理及应用,以及自旋电子学。第二章,着重介绍了磁圆二色向性光谱仪的工作原理、应用情况,以及我们自主搭建的磁圆二向色性光谱仪的特点。第三章,介绍了磁光克尔效应的工作原理和实验应用。第四章,利用MCD和MOKE这两种测量方法,并且应用于ZnCoO稀磁半导体薄膜和CFO/KNN双层膜结构的复合多铁性材料的磁电耦合效应的研究。第五章,总结全文和未来展望。
【英文摘要】In recent decades, as the development of magnetic-memory technique of spintronics in emerging high-tech fields, vatious kind of magnetic-optical devices and magnetic-optical measure that use the theory of magnetic-optical effect have displayed these special proerty and broad application prospects, which attracted people’s strong interest. According to the difference of polarization of incident light, magnetic-optical effect can be simply divided into two parts:Magnetic-optical Kerr effect(MOKE), which is based on line polarized light, and magnetic circle dichroism, which is based on circle polarized light. While MOKE is sensitive to magnetic moment on the surface of sample, so it is usually acted as an magnetic measurement for surface; and while MCD can reflect the absorption difference of right-handed light and left-handed light. For the energy between lev and 5ev, MCD can reflect the features nearby Fermi surface, which is an important tool to study diluted magnetic semiconductor.In this paper, I will mainly take a case study of the magnetic circular dichroism(MCD) and the surface magneto-optical kerr effect(SMOKE) to introduce the application of magneto-optical effect in Diluted magnetic semiconductors(DMS) and introduce the equipments that I build
