Abstract Taking cornsta k as raw materia , w e prepared activated carbon by adopting chemica activated method. Some techno ogi
ca conditions w ere investigated such as the ratio of materia s and so ution, additives dosage, activator concentration , activation time, acti
vation temperature. The resu ts show ed that optimum conditions w ere materia - to- so ution ratio 1: 2. 5 , additive concentration 60% , ac
tivator dosage 6% , time 45 min and activation temperature 400 . Further more, we proposed the eff ects of soaking time on the product
and found that u trasound activation can significant y improve product yie d and adsorption properties .The adsorption performance of se f -
regu ating adsorbent is superior to commercia activated carbon, and product qua ity index is c ose to the activated carbon standard for w a
ter purification.
