As early as 1990,TV talk show has become a fashion in US, and many kinds of talk shows have emerged since its first introduction in China (“The Truth”in CCTV).Overall,talk shows in China are still in an exploration stage while the?United?States?talk show are in the mature period. The paper will study the process of both the talk shows in China and the United States, comparing the talk show industry status of the two countries. Besides, it will compare the Ellen Show with A Date with Lu Yu from a microscopic point of view.
