Preparing for BFT Part 1: A closer look BFT Oral Test The oral examination is divided into two parts and is taken with a partner. In part one, you will each be asked to : a) do a brief introduction of yourself or b) speak about some aspect of your life. You must speak for at least one minute. Part 1: Self introduction This is the easy part!!! It’s about you! You must speak for at least one minute. This is an open request for you to tell a little about different areas of your life. These areas may include your family, job, hometown, free time activities, future plans, or your favorite color etc. Detailed Introduction This may be a little more challenging… You must speak for one minute about one specific area of your life. You may be asked to speak only about: - your hometown - your family - your free time/ your hobby - your future plans - your job Hometown Where is it? City or countryside? How big/small is it? Population? What drives the economy? Manufacturing/Farming/Business? Is it famous for something? A person/place/scenic beauty/food? What’s the weather like? What’s your best memory? Family Are you married? How long? Where did you meet her/him? Do you have a child? Girl/boy? Age? Do they have a special talent (sports/music etc.)? Not married? Talk about your parents/brothers/sisters etc. Where do they live? What do they do (or used to do)? How often do you see them? Free time activities Do you like to play sports? Which one? Why do you like it so much? How long have you been playing? Who do you play with? How often? Where? Are you good? Play an instrument? Piano/guitar or?? How long have you played? What kind of music do you play? Why that kind? How do you feel when you are playing your music? Future plans Everyone has some idea about what they want their future to be like. Talk about personal goals, such as getting married, having a child, buying a house or car, education/training courses etc. Speak also about your caree
