With the emergence of the internet and the advent of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology, it has become possible to transmit voice calls over the internet using packet-switching technology. This has given rise to soft switching, which uses software to manage the connection between endpoints rather than dedicated circuits. Soft switching provides greater flexibility and scalability, which is essential for future growth.
Furthermore, intelligent network technology can be used to provide value-added services like call forwarding, call waiting, and voicemail. This technology allows the network to recognize the type of call and route it accordingly. The intelligent network can also provide billing services, which enables the telecom provider to offer customized pricing plans to different customers.
Project Progress
