The former usually helps the learners acquire standard pronunciation by imitation and cultivate good language sense by retelling long sentences and films. The latter involves retelling what you have read or made up, and giving recitations.Retelling has huge comprehensiveness.It’s also full of creation and has many different ways of training.It plays an important part in the whole Middle School English. Key Words：retelling training, study methods, reading materials, ways of training ?? 引 言 中学英语的教学目的是通过听、说、读、写训练，培养学生初步运用英语的能力，并为进一步的学习打下坚实的基础。复述是指学生在理解和记忆的基础上，把阅读的内容加以整理，有自己的话，有重点，有条理，有感情地叙述出来。它融理解、记忆、归纳、表达于一炉，对提高口头表达能力有明显的作用。但是在平时的教学中，了解到有的学生不重视课文复述，有的学生习惯于把课文的复述变为机械被动地背诵课文，甚至有的学生害怕课文复述。那么，问题的关键在哪里呢?很明显，缺少正确的方法点拨，没有系统的训练。那么，复述在中学英语阅读教学中有什么意义呢？复述有哪些正确的原则呢？复述有哪些方法呢？?一、??复述课文的意义 1、背述法是指学生学完课文后，在不看书的情况下，一边回忆课文内容及教师讲解课文时的情形，一边复述。背述与背诵是不同的。背诵主要训练记忆力，要求学生把课文一字不漏地背下来。背述则是培养学生的口头表达能力，要求学生在不违背课文思想的基础上，尽量用自己的话把课文表达出来问题法是教师根据课文主要内容提出一些问题让学生作答，然后学生根据自己的回答再加上一些过渡语串联成文进行复述。如在教学《Ben Lambert’s Vacation plans》(Page17 in Junior BookⅢ)一课时，就可以提以下一些问题： ① Who was Ben Lambert ??② What are Ben Lambert’s Vacation plans ? ③ Why did Ben Lambert take vacation in Canana this time? ④ How long did Ben Lambert’s vacation plans take ? ⑤ Do you think Ben Lambert had a good time this time ? Why ? 3.填空式复述法 填空不是照搬原文，而是为学生提供一根复述的“拐杖”,降低难度。同时，选取一些课文描写的空白点，扩展学生的思维空间。例如：在Go for it,Grade9,Unit10 SectionB Reading部分时，可以把课文空出一些词来让学生复述Whole country.By the time the authorities_____that the story was a hoax,thousands of people_____from their homes. 4.关键词提示复述法 从课文中提取一定数量的关键词或词组，来提示学生复述课文的梗概。关键词的设置可以根据课文的复述难度和学生水平来灵活确定。例如：在教Go for it,Grade9,unit14 SectionA Reading部分时，可以提取一些关键词或短语来让学生复述。可以参考
