Due to meanscause by. It shoud only be used if it can be
substitued with caused by.
It doed not mean the same thing as because of ,
Incorrect: The game was postponed due to rain.
Correct: The game was postponed because of rain.
Correct: The games postponement was due to rain.
以后再遇到due to只要把它换成我们熟悉的caused
by就清楚多了。
举例:GWD7-40
Q40:

interest rate target five times, and because of the economy’s
continued strength, analysts have been predicting for weeks that
the target will be raised again in November.
because of the economy’s continued strength, analysts
have been predicting for weeks that the target will
with the economy’s strength continuing, analysts predicted
for weeks that the target
because the economy continues strong, analysts predicted
for weeks that the target would
due to the economy’s continued strength, analysts have
been predicting for weeks that the target
due to the fact of the economy’s continued strength,
analysts predicted for weeks that the target will
DE显然无法换成caused
by,所以直接排除。当然这两个选项还有其他问题,但是用due
to来排除是最快的!
