National copy- right legislation provides different audiovisual works copyright system according to legislative tradition. This article, based on the TV series “Mi Yue Biography” authorship dispute as an exam- ple, discusses the national audiovisual works copyright system and the international legislation. It tries to put forward legislative proposals on copyright law of People’s Republic of China and pro- motes the development of China’s film and television industry.
