A bstract: The denitrification behaviors of fresh and used honey comb SCR cataly sts w ere compared and the
deactivation reasons w ere analyzed by usin Fourier transformation infrared spectra ( FTIR ), N2 adsorption/
desorption, X ray diffraction ( XRD ), and scannin electron m icroscope ( SEM ). The results show that the
functional roups on the surface of the used cataly st are chan ed and the specific surface area of the used catalyst
decreases ser iously. M oreover the T iO cry stallite of used cataly st is chan ed and som e nanoparticles a re ate

on the surface of the used cataly s.t The reason of the deactivation of use cataly st is the unexpected h i h
tem perature ( e. . t 650 ). O therw ise, thew ater so lub le ions, arsen ic and phosphorus in the deposit on the
surface of the used cataly st can also affect the catalytic activity.
