In order to study the genetic diversity of rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) germplasm resources to improve their utilization efficiency, 12 quality traits of 208 cultivars were tested by near infrared reflectance spectroscopy (NIRS). The results showed that all the tested traits were significantly different in variance analysis. The 208 cultivars were divided into 6 groups at clustering threshold λ = 4.86 by cluster analysis using unweighted pair-group method with arithmetic means (UPGMA), in which the first group including 170 cultivars was obviously divided into 4 subgroups at clustering threshold λ = 3.7. Using cluster analysis with sum square of deviation method, all the tested cultivars were quite clearly divided into 7 groups at clustering threshold λ = 27.00.
