The aim of this paper is to explore the common risks that respiratory care nurses encounter and discuss measures that can be implemented to mitigate them. These risks include: Inadequate Assessment Inadequate assessment occurs when respiratory nurses fail to gather sufficient information about a patients condition. It can lead to misdiagnosis, incorrect treatment, and delayed interventions, which can have severe consequences for the patients condition. Infection Transmission Respiratory care nurses are at high risk of contracting and spreading respiratory infections to vulnerable patients.
