In January 10th, North Korea announced the withdrawal of nuclear non proliferation treaty, but also said North Korea has no intention to develop nuclear weapons, as long as the United States to abandon its hostile policy toward the DPRK and the lifting of the nuclear threat, North Korea and the United States further verification towards nuclear weapons without facts. In January 3rd, the DPRK offered to dialogue with the United States on the issue of North Koreas nuclear program, provided that the two sides must sign the non aggression treaty. But the United States refused to engage in a dialogue with North Korea, saying that the key issue is whether North Korea will abandon its nuclear program. The international community had hoped that the Korean nuclear crisis would gradually cool down through dialogue. Now it seems that the situation is far from being so optimistic, and the worlds nuclear nerve is more and more tight. Elbaradei, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, said that the DPRKs withdrawal from the Treaty on the non proliferation of nuclear weapons provides a dangerous precedent for all signatories to the treaty.
