Teaching plan Step1:Warming up T:Do you want to play a game? Look at me and see how it goes. Ss: The group who finish the words first. T: Yes. When you finish, put up your hand and i’ll see. T: Now take out your paper, copy this on it and finish the rest. [One group finish the game] T: Please come here and show us your job. [T sticks it to the board.] T: Are there mistakes? [If no, give gifts to the winners.] Step 2: Leading-in T: Look at the paper. Which one is often used, but not here? Ss: Bike. T: Bingo. Here comes our topic today. [T shows the pictures on ppt.] T: What’s this? Ss: it’s a bike. T: Yes, it’s a bike. But it has a special name, Mobike. [Guide Ss to read Mobike. ] T: Did you ride it? Do you want to ride it? Ss: T: let’s watch a video and see how to ride it. [Invite one student to tell how to ride it in English.] T: is it cool to ride such a bike? Ss: [T presents the writing background information.] T: It’s very popular in more than 20 cities in China and it’s going to your city. But your government wants to know your opinions before letting it in. Do you agree or not? Why? Step 3: Brainstorming T: if i agree, i’ll say it’s convenient; if i don’t agree, i’ll say some people park them in a mess. Now work in your groups and draw a mind map to show your reasons for agreement or disagreement.
