一、Chemistry ── the Central Science
Chemistry has often been called the central science, because a basic knowledge of chemistry is
essential for the study of biology, physics, geology, ecology and many other subjects.
1 ．二十世纪，特别是二十世纪后期，化学有了突飞猛进的发展。
(1) 冠醚（crown ether ）的发现（The discovery of crown ether ）：
