INTRODUCTION:

Astaticallydeterminanttrusscanbeanalyzedusingeitherastaticanalysiscomputedby

hand,oritcanbesolvedwiththeaidofafiniteelementanalysisprogram.Astatically

determinanttrussissuchthatacanwriteasmanyequationstofindreactionsas

thereareunknownsforthegiventruss.

Atrussutilizespinnedconnectionsandhascomponents(members)thatcanonlysustain

compressiveandtensileforces.Becauseofthis,thetrusswillbemodeledusingsingle

elementsforeachindividualmemberofthetruss.

Thepre-processingprogramforthistutorialwillbeAutoCADandFEMAP,processing

programwillbeALGORandpost-processingwillbeALGOR.

StartAutoCAD

Thetrusslayoutwillbecreatedbyusingcommandline.
