Topreventpersonalinjuryordamagetovehiclesand/orthetool,read

thisinstructionmanualfirstandobservethefollowingsafety

precautionsataminimumwheneverworkingonavehicle:

Alwaysperformautomotivetestinginasafeenvironment.

WearsafetyeyeprotectionthatmeetsANSIstandards.

Keepclothing,hair,hands,tools,testequipment,etc.awayfromallmoving

orhotengineparts.

Operatethevehicleinawellventilatedworkarea:Exhaustgasesare

poisonous.

Putblocksinfrontofthedrivewheelsandneverleavethevehicle

unattendedwhilerunningtests.

Useextremecautionwhenworkingaroundtheignitioncoil,distributorcap,

ignitionwiresandsparkplugs.Thesecomponentscreatehazardous

voltageswhentheengineisrunning.

PutthetransmissioninPARK(forautomatictransmission)orNEUTRAL

(formanualtransmission)andmakesuretheparkingbrakeisengaged.

Keepafireextinguishersuitableforgasoline/chemical/electricalfires

nearby.
