Theynowdevoteseveraldaysaweektopickingupflowers,fresheninganddeliveringthemtoseniorcarehomes,hospitalsandschoolsintheirarea.Thedonatedflowersare7welcomeattheCommunityRetirementCentre.“Itsa8waytogiveourresidentsjoyandpurpose.Seeingallthoseflowersinstantlybrightensuptheirday,”thecentresmanagersaid.

RebeccaandLauraarenotthefirstto9flowers:AVirginiadoctorcollectsflowersanddonatesthemtoherhospitalpatients.Butthepairhopetheidea10evenmorearoundthecountry.

“Ifourflowersgiveonepersonafewmomentsofhappinessonadifficultday,thenitsallworthwhile,”Rebeccasaid.
