[Abstract]Anewcollisionavoidancestrategyforanautonomousemergencybrakingsystemisproposedin
thispaper.Firstlyariskassessmentmodelisestablishedbasedontheemergencybrakingbehaviorofdriverinreal
trafficscenarios.Thenacollisionavoidancestrategywithtwolevelsofwarningandtwolevelsofbrakingintensityis
developed,whichchoosescorrespondingwaysofinterventionsaccordingtotherisklevelcalculatedwithriskassess-
mentmodel.SimulationresultswithPreScanshowthatthestrategyproposedcaneffectivelyavoidcollisionsormiti-
gatetheseverityofcollisions.
