Purpose:ToprepareSsforthenewlessons。

1.AskSstolistentothetapeofReadingandreadafterthetape.

2.AskSstoreadnewwordsaloudfreelyandtrytolearnbyheart.

3.AskSstomakesentenceswithsettledown,asfaras,haveagiftfor,figureout,surround。

Step2.LearningaboutLanguage(1)

Purpose:TodevelopSs’abilityofusingnewwordsandexpressions.

TodevelopSsabilityofcreatingwords。

1.Competition

(1)AskSstolistencarefully,guessthemeaningofsomenewwordsandthenspellthem.Ssshouldputuptheirhandsasquicklyaspossibleiftheyknowthemeaningorspellingofthenewword.Thestudentwhodoesbestwillwinthegame。

(2)AskSstofinishEx2onP36asquicklyaspossible.Aftertheyfinishit,askthemtodiscusstheanswersinpairsandthenchecktheanswerswiththeclass。

(3)AskSsaboutthemeaningofthefollowingwords.
