Thealuminumalloysignalingmechanismisdividedintoahigh-columnmechanismandalow-profilemechanism.Thehigh-columnsignalmechanismconsistsoffourparts:thebackpanelassembly,theboxassembly,theeavesandthesuspensiondevice.Thelow-profilemechanismisdividedintotwo-lightpositionlow-typemechanismandthree-lightpositionlow-typemechanism,asshowninthefigurebelow.;以XSL型LED色灯信号机为例，他由铝合金信号机构、PFL-1型LED发光盘和FDZ型发光盘专用点灯装置组成。
