It indexes more than 5,700 major journals across 164 scientific disciplines. Provides access to current information and retrospective data from 1945 forward. Averages 17,750 new records per week. Includes approximately 362,000 new cited references per week. Includes approximately 775 new cited references to patents per week. Contains a current total of over 17 million records. As of January 1991, contains searchable, full-length, English-language author abstracts for approximately 70% of the articles in the database.
