The objective of this documentation is to define the steps to understand how to measure and calculate actual view angle of Brigade Camera (tested with minimum of 7 cameras)
Measuring the angles of a Camera
Testing Procedure-
Measuring angles of each Camera model:
Angles of camera gives information regarding how wide a camera can view. For this purpose Horizontal, Vertical and diagonal angles reading are measured.
The test sample camera is mounted on a tripod as shown below in front of a white board wall. Draw horizontal and vertical lines on the white board as shown in Figure 1. A suitable display is attached to the camera for calculating the viewing angles. Draw horizontal and vertical lines on the camera screen as well shown in Figure 2.

Power up the system with 12 or 24Vdc supply.
Adjust the position of the camera so that horizontal and vertical lines on the screen and white board match as shown in figure 3a and 3b.

Figure 3b
Measure the length L between the camera lens and the white board as shown in figure 4a and 4b.

Turn the camera and display on and stack the camera horizontally on the tripod as shown in figure 5a and 5b. By looking at the monitor put the marks on the white board horizontally as far as you can see on the display screen. Measure the distance between H between the two marks.
