French Wine French wine is produced all throughout France, in quantities between 50 and 60 million hectolitres per year, or 7–8 billion bottles. France is one of the largest wine producers in the world.[1] French wine traces its history to the 6th century BC, with many of Frances regions dating their wine-making history to Roman times. The wines produced range from expensive high-end wines sold internationally to more modest wines usually only seen within France. Quality levels AOC(法定产区) VDQS(优良餐酒) VIN DE PAYS(地区餐酒) VIN DE TABLE(日常餐酒) AOC(法定产区) Appellation dOrigine Contr?lée (AOC, 53.4%) – Wine from a particular area with many other restrictions, including grape varieties and winemaking methods. 级别简称AOC,是法国葡萄酒最高级别AOC在法文意思为“原产地控制命名”。原产地地区的葡萄品种、种植数量、酿造过程、酒精含量等都要得到专家认证。只能用原产地种植的葡萄酿制,绝对不可和别地葡萄汁勾兑。AOC产量大约占法国葡萄酒总产量的35%。酒瓶标签标示为 Appellation+产区名+Controlee。 VDQS(优良餐酒) Vin Délimité de Qualité Supérieure (VDQS, 0.9%) – Less strict than AOC, usually used for smaller areas or as a waiting room for potential AOCs. This category was abolished at the end of 2011. 级别简称 VDQS,是普通地区餐酒向AOC级别过渡所必须经历的级别。如果在VDQS时期酒质表现良好,则会升级为AOC。产量只占法国葡萄酒总产量的2%。酒瓶标签标示为 Appellation+产区名+Qualite Superieure。 VIN DE PAYS(地区餐酒) Vin de Pays (33.9%) – Carries with it a specific region within France (for example Vin de Pays dOc from Languedoc-Roussillon or Vin de Pays de C?tes de Gascogne from Gascony), and subject to less restrictive regulations than AOC wines.
