With the continuous development of various new coking technology, especially the wide application of large stamping technology, coking coal in the coking process often generates expansion pressure is too high, the service life of the smooth operation of the serious influence of coke oven and shorten the coke oven. In order to make rational use of Chinas coking coal resources, researching the properties of coking coal on the expansive pressure is essential, which is conducive to the maintenance of existing coke oven coking process and guide the development of new. In this paper, the different coking coal swelling pressure and change of every single coal of different bulk density and expansion of the pressure of coal under the same experimental conditions have been studied through the self-made equipment. The experimental results show that, with the increase of bulk density, expansion pressure of coking coal in the coking process with different degrees of increase. For example: coal in bulk density were 0.7t/m3, 1.0t/m3, in the coking process, the maximum expansion pressure are respectively 4.29Kpa, 459.96Kpa. Colloid generation in coking coal coking process is the basic cause of the expansion pressure, maximum swelling pressure and quality of coal caking property coal for coking coal is consistent, bonding and coking is better, the maximum expansion of greater pressure.
