Abstract: The influences of p iston ping materia,l work temperature, the guiding ring and rad ius length ratio tow ear of
the piston ping were discussed respectively based on analysis about thew ear characteristic of piston ping. Thew ear of the
piston ping can be reduced and life can be mi proved by using suitab le self lubrication material, lower speed and radius
length ratio, setting gu iding rings and reducing work temperature of the piston p ing. The life of the piston ping used in the
SW 25/7 oilless lubrication compressor developed as thesemethods ismore than 8 000 h.
