Abstract: Tea and coffee, the representatives of the east and the west, are not just two kinds of drinks, but symbols of two different cultures. Chinese tea culture is extensive and profound. After thousands of years’ development it has become a great material and spiritual wealth of Chinese. Similarly, American coffee also has cultivated its culture in the long history. The importance of tea to Chinese is what the importance of coffee to Americans.
