基于RT8482的大功率LED驱动电路设计

摘 要:根据发光二极管的V-I特性,设计了一款基于RT8482芯片的升压恒流大功率LED驱动电路,其输出电压自适应。该电路主要包括输入电源反接保护单元、LED升压恒流驱动单元、PWM数字调光与变阻模拟调光单元、扩流输出单元等,电路同时还具有过压保护、过流保护等功能。测试结果及实际使用表明:该电路在12V输入电压下,驱动84W大功率白色LED灯珠阵列时输出电流恒定,其效率可达89.16%,且亮度调节范围宽、精度高,适用于通用景观照明、汽车照明、室内装饰及设备背光等1. Abstract: According to the voltage-current characteristics of light emitting diode (LED), a step-up constant current high-power LED driver circuit based on the RT8482 with adaptive output voltage is presented. The circuit mainly consists of the input power polarity protection unit, LED boost constant-current drive unit, the PWM (pulse width modulation) digital dimming and variable resistance analog dimming unit, expanding-current output unit and so on. In addition, the circuit also has the functions of overvoltage protection and overcurrent protection. The experiment results show that the designed ciucuit can drive 84W high-brightness white LED array with the constant output current when the input voltage is 12V and the efficiency is up to 89.16% with the wide dimming range and high precision. The proposed circuit is applicable to high power LED lighting areas, such as general and landscape lighting, automobile lighting, house decoration, electronic devises backlight and so on.

0 引 言
与传统照明中所普遍使用的白炽灯和荧光灯相比,LED照明具有发光效率高、节能环保、体积小、使用寿命长、亮度高等特点。目前,LED照明应用主要集中在两个方面:一是中小功率应用场合,如夜灯、射灯、矿灯等;另一种就是通用景观照明、汽车照明背光等 (1)
式(1)中,VACTL为所用驱动芯片模拟调光输入端口电压,RSENSE为输出电流检测电阻阻值。
2.3 扩流输出电路
为了满足大功率LED驱动电路的实际应用需求,设计了扩流输出电路,如图4所示。

根据所用芯片的设计特性,实际应用中,电阻R11与R12的两端压差固定,通过增加外扩MOS管、输出通路上二极管的并联及输出电流检测电阻的小电阻并联,可以实现扩流输出,满足大功率驱动的应用需求。
3 实验结果
实验测试过程中,采用12V开关电源输入,驱动7串12并84W大功率白色LED灯珠阵列,所搭建的系统实物照片如图5所示。
