无法收买的法官---香港陪审团制度(An impossible judge --- jury system in Hongkong) The second article of the basic law of the Hongkong Special Administrative Region of the Peoples Republic of China stipulates that Hongkong has a high degree of autonomy and enjoys administrative, legislative, independent judicial and final adjudication power. Eighth: the original laws of the Hongkong, that is, common law, equity, Ordinance, subsidiary legislation and customary law, shall be retained except in conflict with this law or amended by the legislature of the Hongkong special administrative region. Eighty-sixth: the principle of jury system originally held in Hongkong shall be preserved. ... Article fourth of the jury Ordinance: the qualifications of jurors Hongkong residents, aged 21 to 65, have good character (no criminal record). Having adequate knowledge and understanding of the language used in the course of the trial (i.e. proficiency in Chinese or English) Mentally impaired and without any blindness or deafness or other disability that can not serve as a juror. A person selected as a juror at the trial may receive an allowance under section thirty-first (1) of the jury ordinance.
