Abstract

BasedontheSCORmodel,thisreportaimstoexploreriskmanagementstrategiesinthetobaccoindustryssupplychain.Themid-termreportfocusesonthefirsttwopartsoftheresearch:literaturereview,andriskidentificationandevaluation.Theliteraturereviewdiscussesrelevanttheoriesandpreviousstudiesonsupplychainriskmanagement,aswellasthecharacteristicsandchallengesofthetobaccoindustryssupplychain.Theriskidentificationandevaluationsectionadoptsasystematicapproachtoidentify,analyze,andevaluaterisksinthetobaccoindustryssupplychain.Theidentifiedrisksareclassifiedintothreecategories:internalrisks,externalrisks,andsystemicrisks.Theevaluationisconductedusingariskmapandariskmatrixapproach,basedonboththelikelihoodandimpactoftherisks.

Introduction

Thetobaccoindustryisoneofthelargestindustriesintheworld,withaglobalmarketvalueofover$800billion.Thetobaccosupplychainiscomplexandinvolvesvariousparties,includingtobaccogrowers,manufacturers,distributors,wholesalers,andretailers.Thesupplychainofthetobaccoindustryisalsoexposedtovariousrisks,suchasweatherconditions,politicalinstability,economicuncertainty,andregulatorychanges.Therefore,effectiveriskmanagementstrategiesarecrucialforthetobaccoindustrytoensurethesmoothoperationofitssupplychain.

Researchobjectives

ThemainobjectiveofthisresearchistodevelopriskmanagementstrategiesforthetobaccoindustryssupplychainbasedontheSCORmodel.Theresearchaimstoachievethefollowingobjectives:

1.Toreviewrelevantliteratureonsupplychainriskmanagementandthetobaccoindustryssupplychaincharacteristicsandchallenges.

2.Toidentifyandevaluaterisksinthetobaccoindustryssupplychainusingasystematicapproach.

3.Todevelopeffectiveriskmanagementstrategiesforthetobaccoindustryssupplychainbas
