Abstract:Soil is an important source of greenhouse gases, soil fauna and microbes play important roles in soil carbon and nitrogen transformation and trace gases metabolism, however, there was little research on the relationship between the emission of greenhouse gas, soil fauna and soil microbes in contaminated soils. We therefore set up a laboratory experiment to explore the influences of oil pollution and bacterivorous nematodes greenhouse gas emissions and soil microbial activities. There were 5 treatments in this experiment: soil (S) as the control, soil+5.0 g oil kg-1dry soil (SP), soil+5.0 g oil kg-1 dry soil+5 nematodes g-1 dry soil (SPN5), soil+5.0 g oil kg-1 dry soil+10 nematodes g-1 dry soil (SPN10), soil+5.0 g oil kg-1 dry soil+20 nematodes g-1 dry soil (SPN20). Compared with the control, the emissions of CO2, N2O increased by 7.03-10.16 times, 11.56-32.19 times respectively in oil contaminated soil, and the emission of CH4 wasn’t impacted obviously. The oil pollution has seriously aggravated the greenhouse effect judging by the dynamic of global warming potential (GWP), and greenhouse effect has increased by 7.13-10.17 times compared with the control.
