SVC Abstract: In order to ensure that the data of power factor, negative sequence and harmonic of traction current meet the national standards, and to improve the voltage level in traction network as well, a common practice is to take a series of methods or devices in sub-station to compensate different parameters individually. In this paper, a complex compensation scheme with phase controlled SVC is suggested, and a feasibility and superiority is discussed.
