Abstract:In this paper, soil w ater holding ability and its relationship to soil organic carbon under five different Ziw uling seconda-
ry vegetations ( Quercus liaotungensis, Pop ulus davidiana, Seabuckthorn, Sop hora viciif olia, Bothriochloa ischae u ) were
studied by means of laboratory research and field vegetation survey .The results were as follows: ¹ Among the five vegetat ions
