Coll ege of R esources and Env ironment, S out C ina Ag ricultral Univ ersity , Guang z ou, Guangdong 10642) Abstract : T he purpose in the paper w as to conduct an investigation in effect of postharvest soil after applying different fertilizer on soil microbiological characteristic and maize growth by using pot experiment. The result show ed that maize biomass yield in the postharvest soil after applying compound biofertilizer w ere increased by 1. 91% , 7. 96% and . 21% respectively compared w ith control, organic fertilizer and organic biofertiliz er treatment. The maize cob w eight in the compound biofertilizer treatment w ere increased 97. 61% and 16. 24% respectively compared w ith control and organic fertilizer. Compared with contro
