Although each theory has its advantages, their disadvantages are becoming more and more obvious. Feng Shengli opened a new path by applying the function of Chinese prosody to the explanation of Chinese morphology and created Chinese Prosodic Morphology, which broke through traditional concepts of word and character then analyzed Chinese morphology from a different angle. The Prosodic Morphology is not only significant in the research of Chinese, but it has distinctive value in the process of teaching Chinese as a second language. The Prosodic Morphology can be used to solve some problems that can not be figured out by traditional theories as well as make the teachers who teach Chinese as a second language able to explain the reasons of Chinese morphology.
