UNSW Australia School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications ELEC1111 Electrical and Telecommunications Engineering Laboratory Experiment 6 鈥 Simple Op-Amp Circuits Aim To design and test the following configurations using Op-Amp IC 741: 飩 Inverting amplifier 飩 Non-inverting amplifier 飩 Differentiator 飩 Integrator Equipment / Components required: DC power supply (DCPS) Function generator Oscilloscope IC741 Prototyping board Resistors, capacitors, inductor Connecting wires and probes PIN Diagram of IC741 ________________________________________________________________________ ELEC1111 Lab Manual 鈥 Exercise 6 1 Exercise 1: Inverting amplifier CIRCUIT DIAGRAM Fig. 1 PROCEDURE 1. On your breadboard construct the simple circuit shown in Fig. 1, for a gain of 15. 饊亝2 The gain of inverting amplifier is given by, 饊€ = 鈭 . 饊亝1 2. Connect the dual power supply across the pins 4 and 7. Set the power supply to 飩?5V. Once you have your bias connections, monitor the output current on the power-supply to be sure that there aren鈥檛 any inadvertent short-circuits. You may wish to use a DMM to probe the IC pins directly to insure that pin 7 is at +15V and pin 4 is at -15V. 3. Connect an oscilloscope in the output. Don鈥檛 forget to ground the scope leads. 4. Use the function generator as source V to provide 0.5 V amplitude (1V peak to in peak), 1 kHz sine wave excitation to the circuit. 5. Observe the input and output
