Research on Optimization of Twist-beam Suspension Based on Vehicle
Steering and Strength Characteristics

【Abstract 】To solve the poor steering and strength characteristics of a newly developed model equipped with twist-
beam suspension, we carried out optimization research. The contrast between twist-beam stiffness simulation result and
suspension kinematics and compliance (KC) test verified correctness of this simulation model. The contribution rates of
twist -beam suspension parameters to suspension KC performance are obtained by means of orthogonal experiment
design. The multi-objective optimization of the vehicle, including steering and strength characteristic have been realized
by NSGA- Ⅱgenetic algorithm.
