B eji ing Instit ute of Clothing Technology B eji ing 100029 China) Abstract For helping the production and application of hempnyloncotton blended yarn this paper used several modern testing instruments and invest igated the mechanical properties yarn evenness regain dye deepness and fiber content of hempnyloncotton blended yarn. The results show that the performance of the lowcount blended yarn is affected by proportion of hemp. There are two break points the change of proportion of hemp do not affect obviously the properties of the blended yarn when the proportion of hemp is less than 10% . How ever when the proportion of hemp is up to 30% the character of hemp in the blended yarn will become more and more clear .
