Mineralization Characteristics and Prospecting Potential of
Uranium for Keke Area in the Northeastern Margin of Qaidam

Abstract:According to field geological survey, roc sampling, and analysis of former geological, geochemical,
geophysical data, the mineralization characteristics and prospecting potential of uranium in the Ke e region is probed.It
is found that F thrust fault and F normal fault controlled the distribution and size of uranium deposits in Ke e region,

mica-quartz schist is the wallroc of uranium mineralization, metamorphic quartz sandstone is one of most rich uranium-
hosting roc series, red alteration in metamorphic sandstone is the most obvious uranium guide of prospecting.It is also
found that the pegmatite di es, lamprophyre di es and diorite-porphyrite di es are significantly related to uranium
mineralization, and are also core guide of uranium prospecting.It is thought that the most prospecting potential zone lies
between the downthrow of F reverse fault and hanging wall of F normal fault.
