There are realistic basis and applied value to implement the strategy of multiple interpretation in art appreciation class. On the one hand, from the point of works and appreciation subject, multiple interpretation can give full play to the advantage of quality-oriented education in art appreciation class. The works of art itself has the characteristics of rich connotation, wide range of knowledge, strong comprehensiveness and so on, and thus makes capacious room for the teachers and students to play and express themselves. The author give basic meaning to the work of art, however, it would not be exactly the same between the readers understanding and the authors intention, and the understanding of different readers would also be different. The fascination and emphasis of art appreciation teaching lie in many interpretations that are similar to one another but different, which are generated by the teacher and students through the limited works. Interpretation is from the understanding of others to understand oneself, and thus achieves the diversion and assimilation of a meaning, which, in essence, is a process of recreation on the meaning. Multiple interpretation of works of art refers to that, being different in the aspects of the experience of life, knowledge reserve, aesthetic taste, life experience and so on, individual meanings of works with marks of individual life will be got when different interpreters make their unique understanding and analysis with regards to the same work, and they will also get returns including the aesthetic pleasure, emotional sublimation, ideological resonance, the cultivation of personality, the psychological formation and so on.
