Surface Corrosion Resistance of Milling Aeronautic Aluminum Alloy
in Simulated Marine Environment
Zhang Ruren, anYi, Li Chen, Liu Zhanqiang
Abstract: The effectsof cutting speed andfeedrate on surface roughness have been studiedthrough milling aeronautic alu-
minum alloy 7050- T7451. Therefore, theoptimizedmilling parameterswere obtainedto get lower surfaceroughness. Then, ma-
chinedworkpiece havebeenput into simulated marine environment to investigatetheir corrosion resistance performance. Two pa-
rameters) average depth and corrosion damage degree, are employedto characterizethe degree of corrosion damage. The results
show that if there is littlevariation of residual stresses, theworsethesurface roughnessis, more seriousthe corrosion is. In con-
clusion, the corrosion resistance performance of parts can be improved by reducing surfaceroughness.
