Abstract: The m odeling and s mi u la tion analyse based on the N S equation in the threedmi ens iona l turbu lent flow o f ax ia lflow
f iref ighting fan have been comp le ted by u sing the me thod o f com puta tiona l flu id dynam ics ( CFD ) . k wt ow ay mode lw as u sed
to smi ulate the turbu lent flow based on the f in ite vo lum e m ethod. T he threedmi ensional flow pa ttern o f the inte rnal flow f ield un
der the design ope ra ting cond itions of the ax ia lflow firef ighting fan w as conc luded. T he flow characteristics, the a ir flow veloc ity
and the pressure d istribution o f ax ia lflow f iref ighting fan w as analyzed. T he e ffectiv e mi provem ent and optmi um aerodynam ic de
sign of the interna l w ind duct has been realized based on CFD flow f ie ld smi u lation. The resu lts show that coneshaped et duct
w ith gr id plate can effectively increase outlet v elocity, mi prove interna l flow, and bette r m eet the design requ irem ents.
