一、教学目标:
1. 语言知识目标
(1) 能掌握以下单词:used to, humorous, silent, helpful, appearance, personality
能掌握以下句型:
I used to be afraid of the dark.
Mario , you used to be short , didn’t you? yes , I did.
Did Mario use to be short? —Yes, he did.
③ —What’s he like now? —He’s tall now.
(2) 能够用英语描述自己或他人过去常常做的事情;发现自己或他人在外表、性格、兴趣等方面所发生的变化。

(2)Analysis of the title
I used to be afraid of the dark.
used to意为“过去常常;以前经常”,后接动词原形,表示过去的习惯动作或状态,暗指现在此状态不存在了或动作不发生了。
be afraid of sth 害怕某事或某物
be afraid to do sth 害怕做某事

反义疑问句
①构成: 肯定陈述句 + 简略否定问句
否定陈述句 + 简略肯定问句
②原则:前肯后否,前否后肯,时态人称保持一致
③回答:
(1)回答反义疑问句和回答其他一般疑问句的 结构一样。
如果答语是肯定的,用“Yes +肯定结构”
如果答语是否定的,用“No +肯定结构”
(2 )回答陈述部分为否定句的反义疑问句时,Yes或是No的汉语意思与它们本身的词义相反。
