closelycoexistingwithskarnsHowever,theoregenesisherehasstillbeencontroversialInthispaper,westudiedthemineralogical
characteristicsofskarnsinMakengFeModepositwithelectronmicroprobeanalysis,whichshowedthatthemineralassemblagesof
skarnsinthisdepositmainlyconsistedofpyroxene,garnetandbustamiteTheretrogradealteredmineralswerecomprisedofchlorite,
epidote,amphiboleandquartzThemineralcompositionofclinopyroxenearediopside,hedenbergite,andasmallamountof
johannsenitePyroxenoidsaremainlycomposedbybustamiteandrhodoniteTheendmemberofgarnetisdominatedbyandradite,with
minorgrossulariteTheamphiboleinthisdepositcanbeclassifiedintocalcicamphiboleAllthemineralogicalcharactersofskarns
showedthattheyweremainlyformedunderrelativeoxidizingconditionsTheskarnsinMakengFeModepositresultedfromthe
metasomatismformedbythermalfluidflowingalongtheinterlayerfracturezonesbetweenlimestoneandclasticrocks,mostironore
hostedintheskarns,usuallythemagnetitesformedlaterthantheskarnsandconstitutedametasomatictexture,notonlyreplaced
skarnswidely,butalsodirectalternatedlimestone,sandstoneinthewallrock
