Abstract : The essay analyzed the importance of w orkless compensation, and accompa-
nied w ith en ineerin practice, explained the theory of w orkless compensation by usin par-
allel capacitor and discussed the inter influence between parallel capacitor and harmonic as
w ell as the method to control harmonic from ma nified. Briefly introduced the device w hich
compensate harmonically and w orklessly.
