Th is p ap er focu se s on the developm en tal situation of G. biloba , the chem ical structure, pharm acological effect and clin ical app lication of the active compound s such as flavono id s, terp enelactone s, po lyp reno ls and po lysaccharide, wh ich have p rovided a ba sis for the overall u tilization of the Ginkgo ′s active con stituents.
