For each state, the number of electors is the same with the number of senators in the Senate and House of Representative.
A total of 538 electors representing all 50 states and the district of Colombia. ;General ticket system: winner-take-all(48 states)
One party candidate has the lager votes than his rivals in a given state win all of electors in this state.
District system: In?Maine?and?Nebraska,?the statewide?popular vote winner?is awarded?two electoral votes?and?the winner?in?each?state?is?awarded?one electoral?vote.
The winning?candidate?must?win?at least?270?electoral votes?out of?538.
