The influences of processing param e ters such as reduction tmi e, temperature and reductant dosage on both processes were investigated. The results show that, using anthracite as the reductan,t amagnetite concentratew ith an iron grade of 61. 60% and a recovery of 96. 65% can be obtained by magnetic separation of the ore preroasted at 850 for 45m inutes. M eanwhile, a sponge iron w ith a grade of 89% , ametallization rate of 90% and a recovery of 85% can be obtained from themagnetic separation of ore prereducted directly at 1050 for 5 hoursw ith the m ixture of anthracite and calcium carbonate as reductants.
