Surface and interface (surface, and, interface)
The uniform part of the physical and chemical properties of a system. Interface is the contact surface between phase and phase, which refers to the transition zone of about several molecular thicknesses in contact with two phases. If one of the phases is gas, this interface is often called the surface. Traditionally, the interface between liquid or solid and air is called a surface of liquid or solid. The common interfaces are gas-liquid interface, gas-solid interface, liquid-liquid interface, liquid-solid interface, and solid solid interface.
